Electrical impedance tomograph Dräger PulmoVista® 500 (EIT)

The PulmoVista® 500 performs thoracic impedance measurements to visualise and the regional tidal volume distribution during mechanical ventilation, changes in end-expiratory volume within the electrode plane, and gives doctors information about the pressure ratios in the respiratory system and other derived parameters.

With this, PulmoVista® 500 will help you maintain optimal air distribution in the lungs and inform you about conditions such as atelectasis, lung overinflation, air retention in the lungs, pleural effusion or pneumothorax, which can occur during mechanical ventilation.

This information can provide you with a more complete picture and help determine your pulmonary protective ventilation strategy during treatment.

PulmoVista® 500 is intended for use in adult patients and children.

PulmoVista® 500 provides continuous non-invasive imaging at the patient's bedside. A flexible silicone band with 16 integrated electrodes is easily attached to the patient's chest and connected to the PulmoVista 500. No invasive or stressful manipulations. No ionising radiation.

Information is displayed as: real-time cross-sectional dynamic EIT images, cross-sectional EIT status images, real time impedance waveforms, derived numeric parameters and trended data.

The functionality of the basic EIT software can be expanded with the Software option package Advanced Data Analysis Package (ADAP), which adds the following features:
